The Francis Family

Jessica lost her job in 2009, which led to a foreclosure on her home. Jessica and her daughter Jasmine, who is developmentally disabled, stayed at a temporary shelter, but because her daughter is an adult, they could not be together as a family.

Comunidad Cesar Chavez family shelter (CCC) brought Jessica and Jasmine back together where they could live as a family.

However their next move into LAFH’s Comunidad Cesar Chavez family shelter (CCC) brought Jessica and Jasmine back together where they could live as a family. During stay at CCC, they both worked towards their goals of getting back on their feet. Jessica actively went out every day in search for employment. She was able to find permanent full-time employment in August 2010. Jasmine is attending life-skills classes at the Department of Developmental Services Regional Center.
