Dessert Party
A Sweet Success
The fabulous Dessert Party hosted by Pam and Jerry Offsay was held on June
14th in their home. Close to 500 guests enjoyed a fine evening of decadent
and mouthwatering sweets ranging from an abundance of candy, cheesecakes,
tortes, cookies and cupcakes.
The evening of sweets featured a warm starry night, beautiful garden setting,
whimsical candle light and tunes from Milken’s Jazz Quartet and the
Oakwood School Jazz Band. A memorable time was had by all while raising
nearly $60,000 to help support LAFH residents.
Many guests donated kitchen utensils to help LAFH create “Welcome
Home” baskets for our residents as they move into permanent housing.
Tables overflowed with pots and pans, baking sheets, measuring cups and
cookbooks. We thank Pam and Jerry and their children, Rick, Greg, Max and
Sammy for all of their efforts in making The Dessert Party possible and
helping us “welcome families home again.”
