Dessert PartyDessert Party - 2003 June 14, 2003 Hosted by Showtime Networks Inc. About 14 years ago, Pam (current board member) and Jerry Offsay (President of Original Programming Showtime Networks, Inc.) hosted a backyard party to help the growing number of Los Angeles residents struggling to make ends meet. In 1994, Showtime sponsored this party, which had grown from an initial 150 neighbors and friends to over 2,000 attendees. The event now features live entertainment, a casino and desserts from more than 140 area restaurants. Over the years, celebrities such as Steven Weber, Salma Hayek, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Ruth Livier, Bruce Davidson, Tony Plana, Jose Temest, among others have attended and shown their support for LAFH and our mission. All told, the Dessert Party has raised over $700,000 for LAFH programming, including over $110,000 last year alone.
