Our Annual Awards Dinner has been a fabulous event since its inception in 2000. LAFH hosts this annual event to recognize and honor individuals, public servants, and corporate citizens who work to alleviate the plight of the poor in Los Angeles. This year we are proud to honor:

Mark Weinstein, MJW Investments, with the "L.A. Family Housing Legacy Award"

City of Santa Monica Councilmember, Bobby Shriver, with the "Sydney M. Irmas Outstanding Humanitarian Award"

Four awards are conferred at this event:

• The Sydney M. Irmas Outstanding Humanitarian Award for outstanding commitment, service, and contributions to improving the quality of life of truly needy people;
• The L.A. Family Housing Legacy Award for making a lasting community contribution by developing safe, decent, and neighborhood-enhancing housing for hardworking families;
• The Friend of the Family Award for particularly noteworthy contribution(s) of time, abilities, resources, and/or monies to LAFH benefiting our clients; and
• The L.A. Family Housing Inspiration Award for individuals who have overcome adverse situations and inspire LAFH clients.
